In stone processing, the balance between performance and tool life is essential. CMS Stone Technology machines now integrate an intelligent self-adjusting feed system, designed to increase production efficiency and protect both tools and spindle by adapting in real time to actual working conditions.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
During programming, the operator defines the ideal feed values for a given material and the target load range. The CMS machine constantly monitors the spindle load and independently adjusts the feed rate during the execution of the program.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES?
Edge recovery: process safety and protection
When the tool loses sharpness (due to wear, abrasive materials, etc.), the spindle load tends to increase, often reaching levels that can be potentially damaging to both the machine and the tool. The system detects the anomaly and automatically reduces the feed, bringing the load back within the desired parameters, thus preventing overheating and unexpected downtime.
Boost in productivity: higher speed, same control
The customer sets the program with the desired working parameters based on the material and the expected tool workload range. During machining, the self-adjusting feed system automatically adjusts the feed rate, either increasing or decreasing it, to keep the spindle load within preset limits.
This allows for progressively higher feed rates, optimizing productivity without losing control over spindle effort.
Thanks to the self-adjusting feed, every machining operation becomes a dynamic balance between performance and protection, with the goal of making each cycle more efficient, precise, and predictable.
