Saxon, Switzerland, is home to Plug and Play, an independent company specializing in glass fabrication. Here we met the company founders, Emanuelle Zufferey, CEO, and Diego Micheloud, CTO, who helped us understand how CMS technology supports their creativity every day.
The company operates with two identities: Plug and Play, the conventional glasswork, and Narcis, a design workshop and artistic glasswork.
With a team of six people, the company performs each production stage in-house to create custom projects ranging from more traditional elements such as mirrors, walls and shower cubicles to artistic and design creations such as lamps, furniture and decorative surfaces.
Plug and Play's work is based on a collaborative approach with customers:
"They often come to us with an idea, and we make proposals to find a way of creating something unique. It's really a joint effort," says Emanuelle.
The collaboration with CMS started about fifteen years ago when the first machining center was purchased to ensure reliability and operational continuity. When it was time to renew the fleet, the obvious choice was CMS again:
"Our old machine worked extremely well. When it was time to change it, it seemed logical to choose CMS again," explains Diego.
