Automatic glass loading and unloading cells with anthropomorphic robots
CMS Glass Technology offers cutting-edge solutions for automated glass handling to ensure efficiency and safety at every stage of the production process.
Our automatic loading-unloading cells can handle glass in complete safety for the operator, significantly reducing breakage risks while maximizing process repeatability and increasing overall plant productivity.
The cells are available in two configurations:
- Basic configuration including: latest generation anthropomorphic robot, gripping hand designed specifically for glass handling, electrical cabinet with dedicated control panel, complete safety barrier and fence system that comply with current regulations.
- Advanced customization: CMS can fully customize these systems to meet specific customer requirements. Our solutions can simultaneously load/unload two or more sheets of glass from adjacent rows, manage multiple stacked levels to optimize space, integrate glass reference systems on load cells, implement systems to lay glass separation paper on the unloading cells.
Compatibility and Integration
Our robotic systems can be integrated into cutting lines, vertical or horizontal machining centers, vertical seaming machines, waterjet machines, washing machines and other machinery, whether supplied by CMS or not.
Beyond Simple Loading/Unloading
CMS robotic cells are not limited to handling from a single machine, but can be implemented to automatically transfer glass between multiple processing machines in order to create fully automated plants that maximize production efficiency.

PAPER LAYING SYSTEM
A paper laying gantry places paper strips between one glass sheet and the next. This prevents glass scratching and is ready to be shipped directly to the end customer. Not only that, paper strips make it easier to grip and separate the glass sheets when removing them from the stand.

MULTI PALLET MANAGEMENT
Thanks to the movement of the wrist controlled by a brushless motor, specific recipes can be set for each type of pallet. With a variable angle of 90 ° with automatic adjustment, the pallet changing time is zero.
